In this section we will consider a response to the syllabus that requires you to look at the exploitation of a historical city like Chester. Exploitation could be for profit by entrepreneurs or the Council. It may be exploitation, without a profit motive, using the fabric of the past to educate.An example of an organisation that acts in this way is the National Trust. We visited a National Trust propety at Erddig, near Wrexham on 16/5/00. Photographs of this visit are below.
